Silver Surf Motel

Visiting the coast and we stayed here. Girl at the front desk was pleasant and the room was clean and updated. There is a very large courtyard where it sounds like long term stayers hang out late at night as I heard kids playing well after midnight. All in all very budget friendly.

I made a reservation through the Expedia app and on their end it showed that it was canceled. Thankfully, the two female receptionists were incredibly kind and helpful in getting everything sorted out. I truly appreciate their help! The service was wonderful, and the room was amazing. I would definitely come back! Thank you so much, ladies! :)))

Our stay at this inn was simply perfect. The room was comfortable, stylish, and meticulously maintained. Safety measures were excellent, giving us peace of mind throughout. Food and beverages were top-notch, with flavors and presentation that impressed every day. The staff were incredibly helpful, assisting me with planning a special surprise seamlessly. Memorable touches such as cozy fireplaces, scenic outdoor views, and welcoming lounges enhanced the experience. The location offered both tranquility and easy access to local attractions. Every aspect, from service to accommodations, was outstanding. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and eager to return.

This is without a doubt the best value around. We got the king room with fireplace. The room was large, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Unfortunately, I had to do some work on my last trip, but the desk was nice. The balcony of our room had a partial ocean view. There's an indoor pool and spa. Parking was convenient. Everything in San Simeon is walkable. Hearst Castle, the beach with the elephant seals and Cambria are each a short drive away.

The room did have debris along the baseboards when we walked in. Otherwise it seemed clean. Beds were fine. Hot tub was nice. Pool was swarm enough to swim in December. Easy access to San Simeon beach. Close enough to Cambria for more food options. We were upstairs and at 730 am the people below us knocked on our door to stop running around the room. Be aware of that. We tried our best and packed up to leave. Room service came in and gave us fresh towels.

Room is the same as in the photos and price is great. Just a few important notes: (1) The road from the north side of Highway 1 (Big Sur direction) is currently CLOSED, so you cannot access San Simeon from the north. You’ll need to drive around and come from the south (via Cambria). (2) The front desk closes around 11 PM, so make sure you arrive before then. (3) They also don’t answer calls

Great lodging area for a reasonable price. The view by the heated indoor pool and spa is really great. Near the beaches restaurants, very peaceful and nice grounds. Very nice female staff helpful with guidance about the area. Gracias!

Had a great stay at this motel, clean rooms with a friendly lady to book us in. House keeping were good with clean toweld when needed. Fridge and microwave were in the room which we needed. There is a small pool and "jacoosy" if you want to use it. This was our 3rd stay and we enjoy it . Close enough to Hearst Castle and Cambria with two local convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance.
